Wageningen University & Research is a collaboration between specialised research institutes and the university providing the strength that scientific breakthroughs can quickly be put into practice and incorporated into education. Its mission is ‘to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life’, with a focus on three core areas: Food and food production; Living environment; and Health, lifestyle and livelihoods. The university consists of five departments: Agrotechnology & Food Sciences; Animal Sciences; Environmental Sciences; Plant Sciences; Social Sciences.
