University Stefan cel Mare Suceava (USV) has impressively developed during the latest 25 years, becomming a central point of education and research in NE Romania. Starting from 900 students in 1990 to arrive now at 9000 students enrolled in 102 study programs, the USV is a highly competitive university in research areas such innovation and entrepreneurship, food engineering, advanced materials and nanotechnologies or climate change adaptation, with successful participations in Fp7, Horizon 2020 research programs and national research calls. The university has a long standing and rich cooperation with entrepreneurs and firms through the existing knowledge transfer centers and laboratories.
